Recently, a mudslide struck the Gyirong Port in Tibet, causing damage to local roads and leaving the area crisscrossed with gullies. The site was covered in muddy, soft soil, creating harsh conditions for the movement and operation of heavy rescue equipment. Emergency tasks—such as maintaining road accessibility and conducting deep excavation search-and-rescue operations—were of the utmost urgency.
On August 30, 2026, China Harzone received a notification from the National Regional Highway Transportation Emergency Equipment and Supplies (Lhasa) Reserve Center. During pre-deployment inspections of equipment bound for Gyirong Town, wear was discovered on some of the guide rollers used for bridge-laying. To ensure the rescue operation proceeded without a hitch, the Lhasa Reserve Center and China Harzone jointly decided to replace the worn guide rollers.
Upon receiving the notification, China Harzone immediately organized an inventory check and technical inspection. It was ultimately decided to remove the guide rollers from the 26-meter emergency mechanized bridge equipped by the China Harzone Rescue Team and arrange for personnel to fly the guide rollers to the Lhasa Reserve Center. The replacement was completed on September 1, followed by equipment testing. After confirming normal functionality, the bridge was immediately dispatched to Gyirong Town to stand by. Rescue team members traveled with personnel from the Lhasa Reserve Center to provide on-site logistical support and fully assist with the rescue operations.
The 24-meter mechanized bridge features rapid deployment and dismantling, as well as strong adaptability to varying terrain. It can quickly span gullies and damaged sections caused by mudslides, opening vital lifelines for emergency response and ensuring the smooth passage of rescue vehicles and heavy machinery.
Currently, the 24-meter emergency mechanized bridge and road base modules have all been delivered to the disaster site and are about to be deployed for emergency response operations. Moving forward, China Harzone will continue to provide robust technical support, respond promptly to frontline emergency needs, and fully support road clearance and search-and-rescue efforts in the disaster-stricken areas. Through its state-of-the-art emergency equipment, the company will fulfill its responsibilities and mission as a central state-owned enterprise and safeguard the lives and property of the people.
