According to statistics, in the first half of this year, the output value of CSIC in ship building and repairing, marine engineering, dynamic equipment, electromechanical equipment, information & control and production modern service industry increases by 15.9%, 174.5%, 21%, 24.5%, 30% and 91.7% respectively. 

The division of six business sectors clarifies both the business sectors of CSIC and its orientation of structural adjustment. Last year, CSIC made an overall adjustment of its development strategy, reformed its management & control modes, established the functional orientation of group strategy and finance control, specified the subject status of members, and formed the industrial layout of “one core and six business sectors”, i.e. focusing on military business and energetically developing ship building and repairing, marine engineering, dynamic equipment, electromechanical equipment, information & control and production modern service industry. After adjustment of business structure for one year, the output value of the traditional ship building and repairing decreases while marine engineering equipment manufacturing business and production modern services become new economic growth points of CSIC. Furthermore, dynamic equipment, electromechanical equipment and information & control are also expanded from time to time. Now, the pattern of mutual reference and promotion, staggered competition and linked development has been formed preliminarily. 

By June this year, the output value of ship building and repairing has decreased from 95% to 75.9% year on year. The ratio between ship business and other businesses is further optimized to 45: 55. The specialized, industrialized and scale trend of each business sector is obvious. A series of brand new businesses, which are represented by Jiulong Logistics Project, Marine Floating Cabin Project, Suzhou Natural Gas Cooperation Project, Meili Town Construction Project and Removal Project of Jiangsu University of Science & Technology have attracted wide attention. CSSC Systems Engineering Research Institute concluded BeiDou Navigation Satellite System end user supply contract, which marks that CSIC enters the field of equipment of the air force and the army.

To our joy, the structural optimization of CSIC is based on the rapid development of all of the six sectors, which has been proven by the substantial increase of each sector.
