HZ Pontoon Bridges Were Used to Rescue “Orient Star”

At night, June, 1, 2015, a passenger ship called “Orient Star”, which was setting sail for Chongqing, was capsized in Jianli water area, Changjiang River. There were 458 people in the ship, including 406 passengers. The accident attracted great attention from the people nationwide, especially the Party Central Committee. All relevant departments, including traffic, health, weather service and the army, immediately gave aid in full power. On June 4, a pontoon bridge brigade from Guangzhou Military Region used the third generation of heavy-duty pontoon bridges to build a “Channel in the Water Surface”, which was 200m long, 8.8m wide and had the load of 60 ton.
